Establish your destination
I teach what you want to learn. Pop, rock, blues, funk, jazz, hip hop; it doesn't matter. Any piece of music can be the next step on your journey, and having a lesson on the horizon gives you a much better reason to take it.
Figure out the roadblocks
Whether it's your technique, theory, or confidence, I can usually spot what you can't. Once I've shown you what to do, there is no need to worry about figuring it out any more - you can just concentrate on working on it.
